Pea protein powder is a complete and highly useful vegan protein supplement but it can be tricky to know exactly what to do with it. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Summer Fruit Smoothie
- 2/3 cup peeled cucumber, seeded
- 2/3 cup honeydew melon, seeded
- Zest of half an orange
- 1/8 cup fresh mint
- 1 scoop Naked Pea protein powder
- Ice (as needed)
- Water (as needed)
Place all ingredients in blender and process until thoroughly combined. Use ice and water as need to achieve the desired texture.
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
- 1 cup milk (of choice)
- 1 scoop Naked Pea protein powder
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/3 cup pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
- 1/2 tsp. roasted ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- Ice (as needed)
- Water (as needed)
Place all ingredients in blender and process until thoroughly combined. Use ice and water as need to achieve the desired texture.
Protein Mac'n'Cheese
- ½ cup macaroni
- 1 scoop Naked Pea protein powder
- ¾ cup milk (of choice)
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt (to taste)
Cook the macaroni. At the same time, mix the rest of the ingredients in a small sauce pan over medium-high heat. Do not allow the sauce to boil.
Once the pasta is cooked to your liking, mix it with the cheese sauce.
