Lead is naturally occurring in soil. However, Naked Pea undergoes independent testing to ensure that the product adheres to the safety standards set by the FDA.

Caffeine is naturally found in cacao powder. We only subtly flavor our flavored products to ensure that we can maintain a high level of protein per serving and to keep the product as pure as possible.     Definitely a win in my books

    So I have been eating nutritional shakes most of my life due to eating issues. Sadly I became sensitive to whey and milk products to the point I needed to switch. I had trouble finding companies that didn’t put kale in their shake mixes or formulas. The other thing I looked for was a company that would do testing to make sure it was safe. I stumbled on Naked from a review and decided to check them out. Having limited ingredients and quality testing sold me along with no kale. I got the chocolate one and like previous reviews, the chocolate is very very mild. If you are expecting “nesquick” like flavor, this will not be for you. It is earthy due to split peas, but that doesn’t take away from it because in adding things to it, makes it taste better and makes it a good base flavor or starting point. I added two shots of espresso, cinnamon and some brown sugar to it and used oat milk. Tasted lovely without it being over powered or too sweet like other mixes. So definitely give it a shot if you don’t mind a very mild chocolate flavor and dressing up your shake!

    Great first experience with protein powder

    I have little to no prior experience with protein powders, so I don't have anything to compare this to, BUT I've been pretty impressed with this. I doesn't taste AMAZING, but I just blend it with frozen fruit and soy milk for a smoothie and it's pretty good, I don't have to force it down or anything (I'm trying double chocolate next to see if it taste even better).

    Correlation doesn't always equal causation, but around the time I started taking this protein powder, I also started seeing improvement in a lot of stomach issues I've had for about two years now. My hypothesis is that maybe the fiber from the peas is helping my stomach? I thought this might be worth pointing out for anyone who has had stomach issues with other protein powders.

    For reference, I am a 26 yr old female exercising at gym 3-4 times a week & running 1-2 times per week.

    A Protein Powder I Don’t Hate?!

    I think most protein powders are disgusting. But I’m a menopausal power lifter who doesn’t get enough protein no matter how much tofu and seitan I eat, so I continue on this quest.

    Sure, the Naked Pea has a little grit and aftertaste, but it’s not only stevia free (praise be!), it’s actually, dare I say it, yummy?! I’ve never been moved to review a protein powder before, which kind of speaks for itself, so I’ll leave it there.

    Except one more thing—I wish they didn’t ship via Amazon. Ugh.

    Does The Job

    Not the best tasting but it has straight forward ingredients without too much fluff. As a result, the taste can be a little difficult to get down. Doesn't mix the best. Ended up using it with a little vanilla milk. Haven't had any stomach issues like I do with whey.

    Healthy But Tastes Bad

    I am experimenting with various protein powders. I loved how few ingredients there are and how I could pronounce all the ingredients, so I gave it a shot. No amount of fruits could cover the taste for me though. 5 stars for healthiness and 3 for taste.
