Protein Powder Mashed Potatoes Recipe

As delicious as they are, mashed potatoes can be a little tricky – from a dietary prospective. A starchy root vegetable, mixed up with various fats really doesn't always work well from the health conscious out there. But that problem is actually pretty easily solved.

Here's a simple recipe for delicious, protein powder mashed potatoes that can let you enjoy those mashed potatoes without a lot of nutritional concerns.

  • 1 lb. unpeeled red potatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 head garlic
  • 3/4 tsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. fat-free sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. 1% milk
  • 3 scoops Naked Pea Protein Powder (or another unflavored powder)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Fresh ground pepper

Separate, peel and mash the garlic cloves. Bring a pot of water to boil and add the potatoes for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are tender. Drain and mash the potatoes. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined.
