When you’re bored of protein shakes but still want to get your protein in, look no further than these satisfying and fluffy high-protein treats.

You can either use Naked Pea or Naked Whey Protein to create these nutty-cinnamon baked bars.

The addition of almond flour, almond butter, and eggs will boost up the protein content even higher to give your body a great source of post-workout fuel. 

This recipe for baked treats makes about 6 servings, with each treat providing approximately 15 grams of high-quality protein. 

These delicious treats can be made with zero added sugar, however, for a touch of all-natural sweetness you can add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup.

Feel free to experiment with different protein powder flavors, however, vanilla flavored protein powders work particularly well with this recipe. 

Almond-Cinnamon Baked Protein Bars

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup almond flour

  2. 1/2 cup protein powder (Naked Whey or Naked Pea)

  3. 1/4 cup almond butter 

  4. 1 teaspoon baking powder

  5. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  6. ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 

  7. 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional for a touch of sweetness)

  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  9. 2 large eggs

  10. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  11. 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any other milk of your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well to combine.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, almond butter, honey or maple syrup, and almond milk.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a thick batter forms. Make sure everything is well incorporated.

  5. Pour the batter onto the prepared baking dish.

  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is full cooked.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the baking dish for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy!
