Portable Whey Protein Powder Snacks for Those On-The-Go

Portable Whey Protein Powder Snacks for Those On-The-Go

Whey protein powder is pretty awesome for several reasons. But one of the most attractive features of this highly nutritious food is just how ridiculously convenient and adaptable it is.

Of course, the simplest – and common - application of whey protein is that it can just be tossed into a shaker cup with some water or milk. And that's it. Still, it's pretty easy to get more creative than that.

In fact, with some planning, there are several recipes that you can prepare ahead of time that will be ready to just grab-and-go while giving you even more fuel than whey on its own. Here are just a few ideas.

No-Bake Protein Cookies

  • 1 scoop whey protein powder
  • 1 scoop powdered peanut butter (use same scoop as whey)
  • 1 scoop quick oats (use same scoop as whey)
  • ½ cup honey

Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and stir until thoroughly mixed. Use a tablespoon to scoop out the batter and shape into balls. Lightly flatten each into the shape of a cookie.

Banana Peanut Protein Balls

  • 2 scoops whey protein powder
  • 2 scoops peanut butter powder (use same scoop as whey)
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and stir until thoroughly mixed. Use a tablespoon to scoop out the batter and shape into balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours.
